Still Bakers
La Graziosa, the Graceful Cookie™ began baking in 1995. A single-family biscotti recipe was the starting point. We baked biscotti at home for personal use and soon realized that our biscotti could compete in quality against well-established brands. We started to offer our biscotti to local delicatessens, coffee shops, and grocery stores with great acceptance. As the trends and demands from our customers changed, we eventually built our own commercial bakery solely dedicated to hand crafting cookies.

Passion for The Best
With our scoops in hand we took to mastering cookie trends to add more contemporary flavors to our repertoire. We now offer cookies for the advanced palate like Nibs ‘n Cream as well as classic flavors like Meyer Lemon. Our values continued to stay the same and The Graceful Cookie thrives as a hand scooped, hand decorated cookie bakery.We use only butter, high quality flour, cane sugar, and top shelf chocolate to produce the best flavors. Others use tricks like oils, palm oil, industrial flours, beet sugar, and artificial flavors that cost less but simply cannot compare when quality counts.

California Grown
We are committed to be “California grown”. We use locally sourced ingredients including California grown wheat milled by Guisto’s in South San Francisco, exclusively use Guittard chocolate products made in Burlingame (just south of San Francisco), Challenge butter from Central California, and C&H sugar which is processed near our bakery.

Ingredients with Integrity
Not only are our ingredients grown locally, but we have taken the time to individually select specific vendors that are committed to raising the bar. We use non GMO flour, rBST free butter, and are all environmentally proactive. It is very important to us that our cookies are made from the safest and tastiest products and that starts with open communication and knowing where our ingredients come from. Integrity starts at the farm.

Just Cookies
Why did we continue to make our cookies by hand? Because any baker knows the less you work the dough it tastes much better. The Graceful Cookie values its customers and that is why we have a team hand-crafting each individual cookie to make sure it is of the highest quality. Our sole focus on cookies means we have more depth in the category and provide a comprehensive solution to any bakery department.

The owner, David Dodson, is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America and understands the demand for high quality, cost effective solutions.
